I think only children will be carried away by good jingles, catchy slogans and attractive presentation of ads over electronic media But wise and educated people will always look for the usage of the product and its brand loyalty. Good products launched by a established brand is always having its own ready made customer and there is no denial about that.
Use this forum wisely and get recognition instantly.

Some times advertisement provide a major role in buying a product. As Mohanji says mostly children are attracted to advertisement than the elders. They feel the items shown in the advertisements are good and better. They never thinking about the quality of the product. They are satisfied with the advertisement. But in the case of elders they have think twice before take a decision to buy certain item by seeing the advertisement. Some of the elders are very much attracted to the some brands. So they may be attracted to the products that are produced by the certain brands. It is not at all a better buying method by depending on the advertisement. Advertisement is the only way to attract the people. The product may not have the actual quality that shown in the advertisement. There are so many advertisement are arising on the distribution of something like "Rudraksham", they says that by putting it on the house will give rise in the wealth of the family. Educated people discard this type of advertisement, anyhow exceptions too.

Childrens are most attracted by the advertisements and people who are having education and having a thinking ability, then he will not buy it for his life. The companies are making attractive advertisements mainly to attract the students who are at the age of small and they are cheated by value added offers which will not be useful for their life. When we buy anything from the shop we must try to analyze the product and compare it with one of the items with another shop and you can see the difference in quality and packing.

Hi Atul,
The answer for your question is usefulness of the product, secondly budget and finally it is brand. When we think to buy a product, sure we want it for some reason. That's the usefulness of the product. There may be many products in different brand. But we finally decide on our budget and brand to buy that product.
Also advertisement plays very important role here. Some products get deeply in to our mind due to the well performed advertisements and so tend we tend to buy that products always when we shop. For example, if we want to buy a tooth paste, then the first thing comes in our mind is Colgate. This is because of the advertisement. That's where the advertisement stands in promoting their product.

Most of the times, we get influenced by the presentation, jingles, catchy tunes and actors/actresses in the ads. That is why we go for buying that product. There is very less number of times that we actually go for the product seeing its usefulness.

Hi,
Advertisements are made and targeted towards different age groups in different ways.Purchasing a product also depends on the buying behavior of the customers.
According to me all the products that are targeted towards the children are impulsive products those come with good gingles and titles. Since children are not decision makers and influencers they influence the parents for the purchase of the product. where as most of the white goods and consumable target towards women and thats the reason why you see most of these goods with offers such as discounts, free products on purchase of minimum worth etc. Because women get attracted towards value purchases.
Where as products like cars, bikes etc which are high monetary value focus more on brand name, brand loyalty, features and social status. Men are more attracted towards these factors.
many a times we do get influenced by a good advertisement, word of mouth but as grown ups we do our research on the internet, friends who have already bought the product and used and through other sources rather than just going by advertisements.
