Do you think Yoga and Meditation classes are necessary in Educational Institutions? |

Well as in present day's stress has been observing in all individuals irrespective of their age, designation and gender. In case of students who are facing the problems of over-aged books and tons of study syllabuses, we observe stress and tension all-time. During examination times these stress increases and shows negative impacts on their performance in exams, hence they fail to score good marks. Yoga and Medication is the two best available tools which can avoid the problem of tension, stress and helps students to get relaxation. Apart from teaching the subject lessons, Educational Institutions have to conduct regular classes of Yoga and Meditation for students to overcome the problem stress and tension among students. Members what do you think, Is Yoga and Medication classes are necessary in Educational Institutions.

It never depends on not only age, designation or gender but also experty, skill and habits of human being. Not only students but alos bussiness men, working men/women are highly affected by stress condition. For student exam, bussiness for bussiness men and work for other mankind are one of the responsible factor for stress. The culture and enviroment is also another reason for stress. How can we tackle it. There is good saying that "There is only one way to happiness, and that is to cease worrying things which are beyond the power of our will." So cease the worrying things which ultimately reduces the stress.
Yoga and Meditation classes are the practical thing which are certainly hepl use to reduce the stress. The daily body workout, morning walks will help us to keem our mind fresh. Massage at SPA have produces good results in stress management.

As you have mentioned, it helps to reduce the stress and tension of students. Also it may help to increase the concentration and memory power of students. But the thing is the students should learn from a proper person so that they do it properly and get benefit from it.

Dhurve Member Level: Gold Member Rank: 724 Date: 23/Apr/2012 Rating:  Points: 4 | there is a deference in views of scientist on stress. some says it is because stimulant factors. any event or incident that inhibits person on giving normal reaction is called stress, for example fear of earth quack, loosing job,fear of death may raise stress in person.
the simple way to loose stress is divert your focus from bothering things to pleasure giving things like a cricket match or comedy movie.
Yoga plays same role as cricket or movie as it related to vedas it gives person spiritual and inner stability and pleasure and helps in stress relief. it is better to imply this stress releasing idea through institutional way.

Yoga and Meditation has becoming a compulsory act in present advanced world. As every individual either student or working are becoming the victims of stress and tension. Students are facing the problem due to hectic syllabus and fear of less performance in exams. Yoga and meditation helps students to minimize the stress and gives relaxation to their minds. Hence educational institutions have to conduct such classes.

Yoga and Meditation teach the students to concentrate, look healthy and take control of their thoughts when practiced regularly. This way a student can be healthy physically and mentally allowing positive thoughts and positive frame of mind.
Students will also enjoy the group activity and will accept these practices whole heartedly.They should be made aware of the importance of yoga and medidation in their day to day life and also the benefits they get out of these practices.
Its a good idea to implement in the schools but they should not be made mandatory.

These are excellent stress busters and provide mental energy. These also relax the mind and reduce violence, anger, irritation etc which is common in teenagers. When one meditates on a regular basis one becomes surprised at how much peaceful one has become and how much powerful the mind becomes.

Taking meditation as an option in 8 hrs school seems impracticable. Yes, I agree that students are getting very stressed these days. But Initially, instead of trained them to cope with stress, we should try to diminish the causes of stress. Teachers and parents shouldn't treat child as if they fail an exam, then life will be over. They will not be able to do anything in life if they do not score higher in schools. Every student is different and has different skill. When s/he fails, we think s/he is not smart which is not true.
