How students can be prepared for the next academic year in better way? |

The summer vacation is going to be end on this month for many students in our country. I think, most of the students should be enjoyed their last month by involving in various pleasure giving activities. But now the schools are going to reopen on June. Hence, this time is best for arranging and preparing for next academic year.
The students can utilize this time for purchasing various study materials like books, bags and many other things. The last time hurry may lead to various problems like high prices, less preparation time , unavailability of items etc. hence try to collect the various study materials now itself.
Moreover, the vacation projects can be worked out now. The good topics for the projects can be obtained from this site itself in project category. So try to utilize this month for a better preparation for the next academic year.

Dear Sanoop,
It is always better to make the start from the very first day. The students should work on the academics for the new session from the first day and this will help them to keep in pace with the sessions in classrooms. The last minute study is always painful as the students are confused about what they should study and which they should leave as not being important.
The students should concentrate on the subjects which are their area of weakness and give more time to them. If they will work on a fixed timetable they will do wonders in their new classes. The parents should help their children in this regard. They should sit with their kids to make them understand the importance of time and time management.
Time management is the most important tool to make the children learn what they should hand how they should.

Students have to work hard and have to sacrifice their enjoyments to a certain extent in=order to score good marks in their next academic year.
(a) They have to start from the very beginning. Don't keep anything for pending. Try to study daily portions without failure.
(b) As soon as your teacher finish one lesson, go through the previous year's question paper and find out from which all areas have they asked questions in the previous years from that particular lesson. This helps you to concentrate in more important areas and clear your doubts, if any there itself.
(c) Don't keep any doubts pending. clear it then and there, either with your teacher or with your friend.
(d) Find out which subject is tough for you and arrange private tuition for that particular subject rather than going for all subjects.
(e) Try to understand the concept and meaning while studying, Don't study for the sake of it.
(f) Make short notes while studying so that you can refer in future, at the time of exams.
(g)Try to answer question papers by yourself and should try to complete it within the exact allotted time.
(h) Do not avoid or omit any portions because you never know from where the questions come. Try to read all the portions at least during the initial reading. Mark the important points with a pencil so that at the last moment you just have to go through the highlighted area and don't have to waste time reading the entire book.
(i) Combine studies will also help
Try to sacrifice on your sleeping, and other entertainments like watching TV, playing etc. But you don't have to give up these completely but find out more time for studies along with other enjoyments.
Keeping everything to the last moment will increase your burden and finally you get time to study nothing.

The vacation time is really good for the students to plan for their next academic year. It is the time to create new academic resolutions related to studies for the coming year.

Yes it is time for the preparation. We should not mix vacation a lot with studies but now it is at the end and so it is the right time for preparations. Collecting study material is good suggestion. That would help to get a early knowledge on matters what we are going to study next year. That is the best practice this vacation. As you said project search is also okay but in my state it would not be announced earlier and varies every year. So finding out the project topic is just a prediction. So I mostly prefer the collection of last year study materials from old students. Let they know what is coming up for their next academic year.

When we learn, concentrate on learning. When we enjoy concentrate on it. Both will not go hand in hand. This is applicable for students who are facing their public exams as well as entrance exams. i am not opposing preparation. if students are doing themselves, it is good. Do not force them. If they want to enjoy, allow them. For students who are preparing for SSLC and Plus two(2013), may classes have started in our state(Kerala). It is a necessity as teachers can start revision earlier. For other students, it is their choice. I repeat; do not force them.

Life is precious and hence the every moment of life too! So instead of spending time on preparation for coming academic year. Student should enjoy their vacation completely. Because once these days gone, will not come again. Yes, there will be sufficient time during academic year, during which they can prepare for studies. The academic plan prepared by education expert is quite good and it can be managed properly during academic period only.
My opinion would be students should enjoy their vacation completely without taking bourbon of next academic year.

I totally agree with sandip. Vacation is meant for enjoyment, relaxation and time given for spending more time with parents. During these days students can build a good relationship with their parents which wont be possible once school starts.They can help their parents in small ways. They can make their well wishers more friendlier to them which will help them in studies and other activities.

Nice idea. I think student should be more prepared before the next academic year and the only way they can do that is by having enough time to enjoy them self during holiday by playing very well so that when they resume, they resume fresh.

In my opinion, the vacations are best time when we can revise what we have been taught in the class, complete the holiday home work and then study the whole syllabus day by day so that when a teacher is going to teach in the class, then it will be not so difficult to grasp that and that will only help in strengthening the concepts. I think the more and more focus should be given to Mathematics as it is a subject which makes the one strong after practicing daily.
I have been on the track of teaching my brother the whole syllabus of this subject and he is also learning the answers in other important subjects like Biology, Physics, and Chemistry, history etc as if he will not study now, then the whole course will pile up and he will be haibit a lot of trouble in grasping them in the exam time.

Students during their holidays will never study even when they are forced to study, the reason is they feel that they have just finished their exams and they neglect the preparation for the next academic year. Not all the students start preparing for the academic year coming forward but some students start refering the subjects available for the next academic year and they start refering them so that they get an idea what the subject is related to. The best way they can prepare is to keep track of the subjects from the reopening day so that they will be able to remember and regain the concepts what they have studied. If a student starts preparing from the beginning then he will have no difficulty for preparing the final examination because he has already studied those concepts he has to just revise the concepts what he has previously studied and he will be completely prepared for the examination. At present many of the students only study at the last moment of the examination and they forget all what they have studied when they come out of the examination hall.
