Why latest films are adding item song which is irrelevant to the story line ? It has become a routine affair for the producers and directors to include a item song in their every movies which seems to be irrelevant and wont suit the story line at all. Just to satisfy the front bench audience, the directors stoop to the level of vulgarity and coin out such songs with double meaning, lots of gyration and above all the loud music much to the embarrassment of families which went for the movie. Directors are putting the blame on movies fans for demanding such songs. I think no one is demanding like that, Is that so ?

It is wrong to believe that people are not demanding such songs. Most of the youths are demanding this type of item songs. Especially the youths of village areas. I have seen some worker who work at building sites, they go to watch such movies which have these songs for the sake of entertainment. But really it is very much affecting children section of the society. Now small children are developing the habit of watching such item songs.

We have comparatively less amount of good viewers actually. Maximum numbers are attracted by glamours and chemistry. Thus producers got maximum revenues through a weak script too. We have many films that are well known only for their item numbers.
I also do not understand why they always keep using these kinds of plot irrelevant item numbers. These item numbers always decreases the standard of those films and thus those films do not have an international recognization. We can say that because of these item numbers we are legging behind in the international level and this may cause great loss in near future.
The vulgar moves are mostly main attraction in these item songs. Teenagers are always targetted by these. This will surely cause great loss in manpower in India. Honourable Supreme Court should treat these as a major crime and start a permanent ban on them.

Sultan.

Rightly said, court must take this as the nuisance case on behalf of public and ban such item songs.

Providing a item song or group song irrelevant to the story line is mainly to provide employment opportunity to the people who are dependent and live their life in cine industry. If there was no such song sequences these small artistes will starve to death. So it is a compulsion to the cine producers and directors to include song sequences in films even if there is no requirement of a song in the film.

I think that it is just a cheap way of publicity to put such irrelevant songs in a film. Such songs have high beat music and vulgar wordings. Lyrics is completely missing and a quality is lacking in the songs these days. Recently the songs were extremely vulgar and some were even very odd to see in presence of family members. The quality of those song has deteriorated the music. Once music was considered as healer and a good thing to hear when you were free. But the new era of item songs is really frustrating to music lovers. If someone deeply loves music he will never want such songs to listen. Some songs look so cheap and out of sense that it completely looks a downfall of music. Thanks to still some genuine art of music left that still we are able to listen some true musical songs. Otherwise a music lover like me will never want item songs to be called a part of music. Censor board or court should really put a break to it.

Prakhar
