Nuclear Family or Joint Family? |

As we know, in today's world the system of joint family is disappearing and a new system of nuclear family has aroused.
The disadvantages of nuclear families:
1. If the couple is job oriented then the child has to be left with the baby sitter where one cannot say how the baby sitter will manage it with the child.
2. The child develops the feeling of loneliness.
3. The child doesn't have many people to speak with.
In a joint family we have many members with whom we can gossip, share our thoughts, play, etc.
As compared with the joint family system, nuclear family system has more disadvantages.
So, which type of system would you support? Joint family or Nuclear family?

Dear member,
I will strongly favor of Nuclear families over joint families. Money, Self-centered, Lack of understandings and controversy between family members. As there are 3 sons in a family Elder one is working with his father and other two are studying. The person who is working will always be of dominating nature and he will always force the things on others. Others will oppose these things and the issues will be created. After there marriage there wife's would not have the perfect understandings among them as no one likes to listen the other. There would be daily disputes and fights in the family. No one would be happy everyone will think he is getting lesser share of money from the property. These cases of Property dividing is common now days. So best way is to live separate and keep in touch with your close relatives as this will improve the bonds among them.

Each and every thing has its own advantages and disadvantages as well. People should have a proper understanding of it and they should be capable enough of transforming the disadvantages into advantages and thus try to lead a happy and healthy life. It is quite natural for humans to always crave for something which they don't have and once they have it in their life, they feel that it is not worth having it and what they had earlier is better than the present possession. Hence I feel that there need to be a change in the way the people think

I will prefer nuclear family over a joint family because in simple words, continuing in joint family these days is very difficult. I say this because proper care is lacking in joint family. Joint family is full of members and thus there may arise financial problems and other problems of education etc. Often there is lack of understanding in the joint families and this gives rise to family issues and tension in the whole family and everyone gets affected by it. There are also property related disputes. And if one of the family member goes in some wrong direction, the whole family has to pay for it. After the marriage a girl should need to be concerned about her husband and children. In a joint family this is not possible. Also women are not allowed to go out and work in joint families. While they are independent to take their decision in small families. They can save as well in the nuclear family.
