::(TOW)::- IIT is not the ultimate Engineering course!

Once a student reaches class 12th, he/she has 2 years in hand to clear IIT.If he/she is only dependent on IIT then it will bring depression to the mind.
Student must be aware that wherever one studies, the education is the same. Be it IIT or any colleges in India, its the dedication that really matters, its the personality development that really matters and yes, its the consistency that counts.
If one does not get selected in the 2nd attempt, then its no use being depressed. God has different plans for you.
If every one joined IIT, there wouldn't have been any Mahatma Gandhi or Lata Mangeshkar or any special person. They would have been IITians. Who would have taken care of the rest of the fields then?
So its advisable for students to do what they are interested in and not what they are asked to.

Very rightly said by Avinash that being an IItian is not an aim of life. Life has much more to explore in it, There are many colleges, many streams and many many other options. All successful people are not only from IIT. Be good in your studies try to have a good college, be consisten and serious for your studies, success will be at your feet. Coming true of big dreams do not need IIT, those need your determination and dedication.

Everyone should try to achieve his dreams by working hard but if you are not able to crack the IIT-JEE test then not to worry you can get admission in other good colleges/universities in India. We should not keep our eye on the education only we have so many options if we are having some sort of talent then we should work hard to get the goal and be successful in that field. For this parents should support there children's if they have any sort of talent rather then forcing them to study.

IIT is one of the most prestigious institute offering engineering and management courses in our country. Every student dream of doing their engineering studies from one of the IITs. To get into IIT one need to clear IIT-JEE. Some students start preparing for JEE from their class 8 itself. Some focus mainly on JEE leaving their social life. One should understand that this is just an examination and world is not going to over if they can't get into it. Just think that from the top billionares of our country how many of them are from IIT. or do all the IAS, IPS officers are from IIT.

thank you for your support. I agree with each one of you.Education is more or less the same. Its the tag of a "IIT" that students run after. If preparations are not upto the mark, then Dreaming of IIT is equal to day dreaming.

Yes, it is true that seeing the number of IIT aspirants, it is impossible that everyone gets selected on the limited number of seats. So it is likely for a student to get depressed if he misses both the oppurtunities for entrance in IITs. In this situation he has to keep his mind cool and keep other options open in front of him so that he will get a bit relaxed. IITs are really a great place to learn but they are not the only engineering colleges in the world. There are even better colleges and universities in the world. And the luck factor may dominate in a way that even a non-IITian can get better package or nice job than IIT student. So it is most important for students to be calm and not to get depressed. And once again I will say that the world is not running only due to IITians.

Prakhar

IIT is one of the prestigious qualifications one can have in India. And as a student who is keen on pursing higher education, students need to be aspirant and ambitious and they need to have the competitive spirit lest there won't be development not only of the nation but of the individual as well. However, one should keep in mind that they should do their best for getting a seat in IIT and if they don't happen to succeed in getting one, they should not lose hopes, get disheartened, feel dejected and should not feel that all the doors are closed for them. Instead even after trying for an IIT, in case they do not succeed in getting through it, they should try for other alternatives / options as per their interests / likes and get into such course of their interest and try to do their best in the field

Parents generally tend to have an aim of getting their children an admission in IIT. They are grilled from class IX onwards. No summer vacations, no evening play time, it studies all the time. In a way, it is definitely good to have a competitive spirit in life and aim to be the best. But have all those who studied in IIT shone in their lives? I have personally seen many students who have done very well in IIT failed miserably in their corporate life. Children must not be pressurised or forced into IIT coaching, parents shopuld first see the calibre of children to take on so much of pressure, know their capabilites and guide them throught the right career. They should also inculcate in their children that they should try their level best to achieve the highest point but in case, they do not get there, one should look for alternatives and make a mark.

Brilliant statement, Avinash. Students should thoroghly examine themselves to find the field really suited for them to follow as the next step in carrear. Generally, students are carried away by the outer phenomena of technological world, but are not sure of how far they can be successful in that field.

Doing engineering in a college that has its entrance through IIT-JEE is a very big thing in itself. Every engineering aspirant hopes for that when he is in his pre-engineering period. Such sayings that IIT is not the only thing may be right in one aspect that there are numerous engineering aspirants and not all of them can crack IIT-JEE because of the limited seats. Also there are many other good engineering colleges.
But one must have a certain respect for IIT-JEE crackers, because these colleges are the best in India, and represent the country at a global level.

Every one should try to achieve the goal, which he or she want to achieve.you should try to achieve that goal very honestly, but if you fail to achieve that goal don`t get depress.because atleast you have tried to achieve that goal.like that iit is best and other are useless this is not true you have to make your career yourself and which is in your hand.
