What do you think when you see a person helpless? It might have happen with you that suddenly while going to work you see a man behaving helplessly and want some help; what is the first thought that comes to your mind?
Once I was going to school and I saw a lady was trying to collect all the stuff which feel down accidents. That moment I felt that she is the most helpless person around and I just went to help her to pick up all the stuff.
After went she went I just thought that there are so many people who are helpless is so many way; how they will get the help?

Whenever I saw anyone helpless first thing which strike my mind is "How can I help him?".
It feel very good when we help someone and he shows the expression of satisfaction.
I remember my old office was in fifth floor. One day me and a old uncle got stuck in elevator due to power cut.
Uncle was worrying a lot and he was shaking because of fear. When i notice this I kept my hand on his shoulder and said him no need to worry, It is very common problem, we should wait for power substitute.
Those time his wrinkle face was showing the satisfaction and I was able to read those in his face.
With warm regards,

First thing which comes in my mind is that - "God helps those who help themselves". But there are times when we forget such thoughts.
I think in my life span I have helped only a few people who really need help.
One of those incident took palce when I was gone to Chandigarh for counseling in Punjab Enginnering College.
An old man was not able to cross the road due to high traffic, he requested me to help him and so I did. Such incidents mostly happen in films but that was the real one.
By helping the needy we get blessings from them. They even pray god to bless us.
What else we want from god? If he bless us.
I must say god helps those, who help others.

It depends upon the persons status, his financial condition, his appearance and lot of other things but in general one feel pity on them and no matter what is his situation is, we always wonder how this happen to him or her?

There are two kinds, one is people who voluntarily come and seek for help (beggars), and other kind is who don't come voluntarily. For second kind I will be always there to help them.
For the first kind, I will go with Farid; it depends on the person condition. I will be very helpful to the people who are physically challenged and old people who are left by their son. But I if see someone seeking help with a baby in her hands, it will tease my anger and my reaction will be such that I may even go to police. Do you know in foreign countries such cases will be immediately sent to jail.
But the true is you can't see more physically challenged people seeking for help, they are very much confident and have the guts to lead their life by passing through all the hurdles.

Actually,it generally depends on situation to help a person.First of all,we should judge that the person really requires help or just pretending.I also encounter a incident just like you ,mam. One day,I and my friend were in market and we saw an old man whose wrist was bent at right angle. My brain struck a thought whether the old man was sent by his sons forcefully to purchase vegetables.I felt pity on him and asked my friend to help him.We both asked him to leave him at his home. But he denied by saying that he had come voluntrily in the market for having some walk. After this ,my heart felt some relief ,although we did not help him at all.

Whenever I come across a helpless person, I really feel for him/her and will try to help them out in all possible ways. I believe that our small deeds will be of great help to them. If people like us close our eyes against them, then what will be the world turn up to me in another five years.

I feel none of the emotions mentioned by you. I try to see if I can myself assist the person in some way or gather help from those around.
When it comes to beggars I do not help them with money. It may sound cruel but I feel most beggars have made begging a business and a means of earning. They may not be diabled but still choose to beg which I do not support.

Friends, this is good that most of us goes for helping a helpless person. But I have seen few helpless person to whom I really wanted to help but could not because of one or another conditions. I really felt pity on myself and the social fake rules.
Once I was sitting on stairs of a Railway station, that was fine morning , I was just waiting for a train. I saw many other trains were coming. At that time I used to travel a lot by bus and by trains. Most of the times I found if I have anything heavy to carry people readily helps me without even asked by me. While waiting I saw an old lady carrying lots of weight, three big bundles. She was so old that she can't hold those for long time.
In those big bundles she was also having a bundle of waste plastics etc. No one was helping her. She was struggling to carry those one by one to a short distance and then was picking another for a short distance. She took a long time to pass those 8/9 tracks and then she was carrying one of the bundles to half of the stairs. At that time she was passing me. I really feeling like helping her but could not exceed my hand to help her. Many of people were noticing me. I just got up after a long mental struggle and in that moment only, the train I was waiting for reached the platform. I have to leave and really felt bad that why I did not helped that helpless old lady. I have helped people many times, bringing water for some thirsty one, telling right path and even left till the destination to a child and old uncle. But all that is like my duty. I must do that. But why I could not helped that lady, is that because I am a learned and civilized ? My mind wanted to help. Friends, can you tell me, is that my education stopped me or my status or Ego?

when i see a person helpless, my eyes become wet. I am not telling a lie, this happened to me whenever i see some one really helpless on the road. I just imagine myself in that situation and feel really bad.I think that is not pity or some other feeling. Whenever i see some one happy also, i imagine myself int hat place and feel happy. I don't know why, but it happens in that short span of time without my interference.
