Monsoon Treasure Hunt: the game is on! |

Important Note: The clues for the treasure hunt will be placed in various sections within your responses. So please do not use the edit button to delete the clues. I will delete the clues after the treasure hunt closes.
How to take part:
1. Participants should not list the clues in responses to this thread.
2. You must send me the URLs of the threads where the clues have been placed by email to iscmanagingeditor which is at gmail.
3. Only send me a list of the URLs where the clues were placed. There are a total of 11 URLs (starting with the URL of this thread and ending with the URL of the treasure). Make sure you give the complete URL without any broken link.
4. A member can send the list only once.
5. The URLs must be sent in their proper order. For example, the URL of clue no.7 should not come before the URL of clue no.4. This means that you are not searching for the treasure properly. So send the list properly and don't make haste.
How to find the clues:
1. You will find each clue in either an already existing forum response or a resource response or a response in ask expert. The response could be of any member.
2. None of the clues are within the text of a forum thread, a resource article or an ask expert thread. The clues are only in responses.
3. Each clue may or may not mention with a hint where the next clue is. Tried to make it tough!
The treasure hunt will close at 12 noon on 30th July2012 (IST). The email you send me will have the date and time so all late entries will be disqualified. Similarly, if you happen to find clues & send me the URLs before the actual announcement of the Monsoon Treasure Hunt, you entry will be disqualified.
Awards:
1. The very first member to give ALL the clues in the correct order will get a cash prize of Rs.50/- + virtual gift of the treasure with its accompanying points.
2. There will be 1 runners-up prize of Rs.40/- for the 2nd person (non-editor) who gets all the URLs correctly.
3. There will also be a cash award of Rs.50/- for the first editor to give all the clues in the correct order. No runners-up prizes for editors.
4. Every participant will get 5 free points and Rs.2/-. To get this, please post a response in this thread (before closing time) and let me know how much time you took to find all the clues.

What is the contest exactly about? What type of clues we need to find?
I think the new members are not aware about what the treasure exactly is.

Himanshu is right madam I am new to this contest and really no clue what soever that where is the answer lies and what I need to hunt for? forget about treasure, I will not be able to find one single answer, please explain so I can participate too.

Hi madam, I mailed you the URLs. I know that I am a bit late. I started at about 10:15 pm and mailed you about 5 minutes back. It is a real good one but I would like to suggest that the quicker one needs to be rewarded instead of the first one because each one may login at their respective timings, right? It might be difficult to implement what I said because we need to install a timer. But, it truly brings out the searching, analyzing and presenting talents, madam. Thank you. I know that I submitted the right entries and also I know that already the winner is made.

Hi @Himanshu Malik & Farid Akhtar,
Its just about finding the clues which are placed in the responses of forum threads, resources and ask expert sections. First you need to read and understand the clue present in this thread and try to figure out the next clue which might be placed in the forum response/ask expert response/resource response and continue the process so on till you find the last clue(treasure). The clues are usually placed in the responses of some other members and can be easily figured out. I hope you understood it and will start hunting for the treasure.

@Himanshu and Farid: The treasure hunt starts from the current thread. The starting clue has been provided

So as clearly mentioned in the thread that first you need to provide the URL of the contest thread and then you need to search the next clue in the response of the post related to this clue.Copy paste the URL. Similarly, you need to go on till you do not reach the treasure. The clue may be related to any post of Ask expert, Forum or resource section. So, you need to use your common sense ti identify the clue. There are total 10 clues anf the 11th clue leads to the treasure. Send all the URL in proper sequence at the email address provided by Vandana ma'am.
Hope, it helps you. So what are you waiting for. Just go on and enjoy the monsoon treasure hunt.

I mailed my replies to the treasure hunt at 11.57AM. I am very late in doing this. I attempted this for the first time and wanted to do this just to get a feel of it even though many of the fellow members had replied promptly. I took 25 minutes to do it, but am not sure if it is correct.

I could not participate in the hunt, But still I tried this and found really interesting. Last one
