Entry for the Creative Contest

Here is a Bamboo painting by my sister Ashita, a 14-year old.

I have no idea why this is called by such a name. Come to think of it, neither does my sister for that matter.

In this craft, both Krishna and Radha are sitting on a swing. Ashita made that image and colored it with acrylic colors before decorating with beads, stones and stuff. She embossed it with loads of clay underneath. She went on to make two trees on the side with paper mesh (Though it was messy and time-consuming, I totally loved those trees!). Finishing off with fake grass and painted paper leaves, she also added a cute bird made of plastic and feathers. Ashita mainly used handmade paper and clay as her base for everything.

She looks forward to the celebration of Janamashtami in her school, after all who wouldn't like to dance a routine on that good, old song 'Mayeea yashodha, yeh tera kanhaeea'. She is such a sucker for the story between Radha and Krishna. Probably went into a shock when she found out that they never got married. Someone else was Krishna's wife. Gosh, kids!

(I know there is a bit tear on the sheet covering the painting. Sorry about that. I will chalk that up to 'Handling hazards')

Its wonderful!
Your sister is creative like you. You won the Monsoon design contest and I must say she'll definitely win this contest, if luck favoured her. The colours and how she used them, are looking really beautiful. Use of clay, stones, etc. makes it really attractive.
All the best to her.
