How we can solve sudoku easily ? |

hi
Your ideas on sudoku is great. But one thing I found in your writing, on each sudoku solution you started the same 'for solving the classic sudoku' this always i am seeing in youngsters on cut and paste culture and will not edit whatever has to be. So please edit that. Other ideas definitely will be useful who are new to the sudoku solvers and sudoku lovers. But generally, sudoku is wrongly match with maths. This is nothing with usual maths(though only basic arithmetic is there). Many who are not interested in maths will not go into the sudoku section at all. But basically who are really good in mathematics even may not able to solve but others who are really interested in cross puzzles(words, numbers etc) will easily solve.

I do not know much about sudoku except the one I see in "Hindu". I tried to solve it and mastered the art of solving it. Can you now tell me how much time do you take to solve a sudoku which is termed as difficulty 5?.
Can you also tell us the means and methods to solve it in quickest possible time?

Hello Friends,
I solve sudoku regularly in news papers. You can also solve these very easily.
Here are some steps:
1. Look for the number which is present maximum times. i.e 6 is present 5 times
2. Then find which box does not have that number i.e. 6.
3. Fill that number in the rest of the places.
4. Similarly do these steps for the rest of numbers in the order in which they are present.

You can easily solve soduko just take a pencil, pen and a eraser.Then just start playing with simple rules like every chamber consists 0-9 digits without repetition and also every line consists 0-9 digits without repetition.then write the sure answers with pen well when you got stuck and comes 50-50 probability of occuring 2 numbers in same spot.choose any one and write it in the spot with pencil then keep on following the simple until you get a violation from 0-9 in single row.then erase the whole and now you know the correct answer keep on following these steps you will get your result.

I can tell you a simple method to solve sudoku easily in quick time.
1.Please choose the left hand column or the top row.
2.Keep your pen on any blank box and look for numbers from top down or left to right.
3. Look for figure 1 in that column and the relevant row, and inside the 3x3 box. If you dont find it write 1 there. similarly look for figure 2. If you find it leave it. If you do not find it mark it. 4.Finally when you have filled all the blank boxes, look for a single number in those boxes. If you find any single number there and not available in any other boxes in the same row, retain that number in that box as final and delete all other numbers in that box.
5. Then attempt the same in the next column or row.
6. Repeat the same procedure again
7. Now start dealing with the other filled columns too.
8. Keep on doing it for the entire 81 boxes.
9. You should be very careful in deleting the numbers without fail. otherwise you will be required to repeat the entire process.
Is it confusing. Yes. It requires practical application than theory lesson. It is not mathematics. It is concentration on figures 1 to 9.
I can solve a sudoku within 30 to 60 minutes. I made it as a practice to carry the Hindu paper during journey, and I enjoy solving it.
Hope our Managing editor is trying to introduce sudoku at ISC, Waiting for it.
