Some 10-15 years back there was a time when everyday evening to 4-6 in cartoon network a show was being broad casted as POWER ZONE. There was 4 cartoons which thrilled me a lot in my teens. Those cartoons were:-
1. Captain Planet Five teenagers with special rings with powers, come to protect earth from evil who tries to destroy mother nature. When things go out of their hands they call up earth best hero captain planet by combining their powers from rings.
2. Swat-Cats Two mechanics of Mega-Cat city(city of cats) who were ex-Air force makes a Fighter plane of their own and fight crime without expecting anything in return with cool gadgets and hi-performing stunts.
3.Power Rangers Three men combines with science to be Humanoids and fight crime. They fight crime as they get help form their space station and change their weapons and transport.
4. Ninja Robots A different galaxy, Different rules. Three teenagers who has to control 3 robots to protect a kingdom. Which was one of the best outer space cartoons 15 years ago. When the 3 robots are in trouble a space Saviour robot comes out t help them.

Swat-cats and captain planet are my favorite cartoons. After leave from school at 3:30 pm I am very curious to reach the home and watch my favorite cartoon. Instead of these two cartoons I like "sukoo-b-do" and The mask. Cartoons always give pleasure to watching.

When the word cartoon came to my mind, it just gives a flashback of time when we were in school and the real definition of cartoon was only the programs on DD National.
I remember some programs on DD National which are my all time favorites. 1. The character of KAA ( The Snake ) and Bagira ( The Tiger ) in Mogli. 2. Chip and Dales in Chip-N-Dale. 3. Uncle Scrooch and his 3- sons. 4. Launch-pad in Uncle Scrooch.
That time only these were the cartoons that I use to watch and it was a real fun watching all of them.
Best Regards, Deepak Malik

I guess it was Quack-Pack, Tales spin, Jungle Book (not mougli) which were the cartoons shown in DD national. All those were of good quality and very entertaining. Jungle book was the best by far. I remember how excited I used to be when Bagira, Kaa, Ballu, Akkira etc use latch on enemies and save Mougli. Those were the good old days of teenage.
Dear Kamal, Scoobey-doo and the Mask was not in Power-Zone. Even though they were thrilling they were not action oriented. Those two were of comedy Genre.
Dear Madhvee, The cartoons which I mentioned above are mostly watched by boys. Girls at that age will prefer Tom and Jerry, Power Puff Girls, etc etc Thanking you, Nithin Antony

I think we all love watching cartoons even at this age of ours. Is it because mentally we are still a kid? Any how, Swat-Cats is one of my favourite cartoon next to Tom & Jerry, for Tom & Jerry stand first from my childhood till date. i love watching cartoon in any language, somehow I can understand it.

Every time when I used to on the TV, my first preferred channel was cartoon network. Those days were so memorable! Watching cartoons with a bowl of Ice cream in our hand or having lunch after coming from school. To be frank, even now I watch cartoons especially Tom and Jerry, Mr. Bean and oggy and the cockroaches. I feel relaxed when ever I watch these kind of cartoons in my spare time.
| #352366 Author: Lakshmi Narayan Member Level: Gold Member Rank: 60 Date: 15/Sep/2012 Rating: Points: 3 | I know only a few cartoon characters, namely Chacha Chaudhary, Tom and Jerry (my forever favorite), Doreamon and Chhota Bheem (my daughter's favorite). I think that watching cartoons is not a bad thing as they bring entertainment and joy to the viewers. But it's good if cartoons bring one or another message with them. This will help in teaching the social and moral values to our next generation and in a easy to understand way. Cartoons having violence and/ or vulgarity must be banned.

Even if it is a 5 years old kid or 50 years elder person, it doesn't matter. Cartoons are the ultimate time pass for everyone as it makes us laugh, we never know how fast the time will run when we watch cartoons or other entertaining shows. When I was a kid, I used to watch Tom & Jerry the most. Day and night I used to stick to the TV and used to have some fun with cartoon network. At the age of 15, I was addicted towards other famous cartoons, Dragon Ball Z and Pockemon. I never left a single episode of Dragon Ball Z, I was a huge fan of that cartoon. Even now, I will watch the repeated episodes on YouTube to spend some time. And now adays, I spend my time watching Tom & Jerry and Oggy and the Cockroaches.
