During the medieval time, the only trusted source of information and education was from the tribe elders. These elders had inherited this information from their parents and grandparents. This was a very important way to make sure that nothing important to the community was ever forgotten with time. In those days the elders were highly respected by everyone because as you can see, they were the main custodians of information for the community. Today the old people are shunned by the young. Now that there are other much more reliable sources of information, these elders have no great use in that community. Their need has diminished so much that you find most of them dying an early death due to negligence of the younger generation.

The computer has of late been taken as the best source of knowledge and information. If you are connected to the internet all you have to do is scroll through information compiled by companies like Goggles and you are sure to find what you were looking for. This information keeps on being updated by the minute. There are very many Goggles writers who are paid by the company simply by writing new information and submitting it to Goggles. To access these information you need a computer with internet connectivity and also a printer to be able to print out copies of what you were searching for.

For those who do not trust the computer very much, there are books as a source of knowledge and information. The advantage with books is that their information is more permanent than that of computers. Computers can be attacked virus and break down with their information. Computer hackers have this tendency of breaking into computers and stealing and altering very important information. On the other hand if books are well stored, they can store information for a long time. Books are also cheap compared to computers because once they are printed there is no other expenses incurred. A computer on the other hand has to be fed with electric power and also megabytes of data purchased for you to be able to access the internet.

Radio and television are very popular sources of knowledge and information particularly to the young and the elders. Middle aged people have very little time for these modes of source of information. The radio and television presenters are always busy in trying to relay the latest news over their networks. Since there are always entertaining programmes in between any news broadcast, you find listeners who were not really waiting for the news broadcast as forced audiences.
