Education: Besides primary and secondary schools, the District has over a dozen colleges, including one engineering college and three medical colleges. There are also 9 Industrial Training Institutes and over 30 Technical Schools.
One of the main tourist sites is the Narnala Wildlife Sanctuary. Located in the Satpura Hill Ranges 60 Kms away from Akola, it is home to numerous birds and wildlife. Best time to visit: October to May. You can reach it via taxis and buses from Akola.
