|Meerut is one of the most developing cities in Uttar Pradesh. In past decade it has emerged as an educational hub for the western part of state. This can be understood from the fact that though the city is not so big but still holds four universities and more than hundred colleges for streams like Engineering, Management and Pharmacy. The city is hot spot among the students and learners across the state and nearby places.|
As it is situated near Delhi, it comes in NCR( Northern capital region of India). Meerut is also known for its sports Industry. The city has second largest army cantonment of India. On cultural grounds, the famous Nauchandi fair showcasing arts and handicrafts held at Meerut every year.

About cityMeerut is a city in the state Uttar Pradesh. Lucknow, the capital is 453 km from Meerut. The city is well known for production of sports goods and musical instruments in India. The city covers the area around 141.89 sq km and Hindi is the common spoken language here.
