Famous Personalities:
1. Raja Balbhadra Singh Chehlari,
- Born on 10th June 1840
- He is a freedom fighter who fought in the First war of independence from Awadh region
2. K.D.Singh Babu,
- K.D.Singh Babu born on 2nd February 1922, one of the famous hockey players.
- He played his first hockey tournament at Dewa Mela.
- He got place in Indian hockey team in the year 1946.
- He was chosen as Captain for the Indian Hockey team in year 1949.
- For his Excellency in Hockey sport, He was honoured with Padamshri award in the year 1960
3. Flt.Lt.Shankar Dayal Bajpai
- Born on 25th January 1960
- He joined Indian Air Force in the year 1980 and became a commissioned officer and then a fighter Pilot.
- He had his last breathe on 10th December 1987 on his regular duty of monitoring the military activities at the indo-pak border.
