Kolacherry is a beautiful place situated in the bank of river Valapattanam.Ther are two villages in this panchayath. They are Cheleri & Kolacherry. Kolacherry panchayath office is at Kolachery Mukku.
There is only one high school in this panchayath. That is Kambil Mopla High School. It is an aided school. There are five Upper primary schools including K.M.H.S. The other U.P. schools are Cheleri A.U.P. School,Kolacherry A.U.P. School & Pampuruthy A.U.P,School. Noorul Islam Madrassa U.P. school is an unaided govt. recognized upper primary school in this panchayath.There are two govt. lower primary schools in this panchayath. They are Govt. L.P.School,Perumachery [Pallipparamba],and Govt.L.P. School,Cheleri [Near Cheleri Mukku].Other lower primary schools are Cheleri Mopla A.L.P.S, Noonheri A.L.P.S, Karayappa A.L.P.S, Malot A.L.P.S, Paattayam A.L.P.S, kambil A.L.P.S, Kambil Mopla A.L.P.S, Naniyoor A.L.P.S, & E.P.K.N.Smaraka A.L.P.S.
