Due to failure of monsoon, farmers have been severely affected. The fire work business got affected due to import of China’s fire works. Due to frequent power cuts, all the industries in the constituency have been severely affected . The project on a Industrial park between Virudhunagar and Sattur has not come up. Bridges across rail lines, sewage and drainage system have not been cared for.
Finally, as the present Loksabha election is going to be a tough fight between major parties, the end result of election can not be predicted at this stage.
