Job Description
Fresher - Study the layout requirements of the project including area requirement for main, auxiliary and balance of plant equipment, fuel storage, water storage, effluent storage, switchyard, green belt and future expansion requirements.
Checking of fabrication Drawings
Preparation of joint Details/bar bending schedule.
Study the direction of all the inputs into and outputs out of the plant.
Study the shape of the plot and work out a compact layout in consultation with superiors and the engineering consultant.
Prepare the list of all the documents and drawings for preparing the documentation for various permits and clearances required for the project.
Discuss with the engineering consultant and obtain these documents at an early date. In consultation with a civil design or structural consultant, work out the BOQ of various parts of the civil work.
In consultation with superior and the engineering consultant float enquiries to various civil contractors, receive bids, seek clarifications.
Prepare separate technical and commercial comparative statements.
Assist the management in finalising the contract, preparing LOI, draft Contract/ Purchase Order and release the same.
Coordinate with Accounts Department for release of advance and follow-up payments at respective and agreed milestones.
Coordinate and follow-up with contractor to ensure contract progress as per the agreed scope and time schedule and in line with the overall project schedule.
Maintain all the contract documentation regarding supply of material and services rendered/ to be rendered by the contractor. Coordinate with site for safe, timely and sequential arrival of material.
Prepare project schedules for civil activities for various projects wherever you are involved. This schedule will include the specification preparation, tendering, clarification meetings and contract finalisation schedule.
Follow the schedule strictly to achieve the target dates. After studying the project schedule, ensure timely actions for activities. Follow up and discuss remedial measures. Review it weekly/fortnightly and update the management on impact of various activities on main project schedule.
Profile involves 50 - 60% of travel to our sites.
