Network Support Specialists / Engineers-TAC Support
You must have the efficiency to interface with international customers, provide remote Technical support on implementation of technology using various networking products & applications and resolve product related issues through research and troubleshooting.
This role as technical support engineer will give you an opportunity to work with a leading provider of IP communication solutions to small, medium and large enterprises, as well as to public sector institutions worldwide. Enterprise Technology Application Support Division (ETAS) and Customer Technology Application Support Division (CTAS). It provides technology support services to global clients, round the clock.

The ideal candidate will be an Engineer, who is a self-starter, with excellent interpersonal, communication, documentation, problem solving and trouble-shooting skills.
Quality focus, result & goal orientation in a group situation, and commitment to customer delight are a must.
Sound fundamentals and in-depth knowledge of Networking Concepts
Debugging hardware & software system level problems in a multi-vendor multi-protocol network environment
Willingness to work in international time zones & relocation to Chennai are a must.
Working knowledge of Windows and/or Linux OS
Core Skill set
Good understanding of OSI Model, TCP/IP protocol suite (IP, ARP, ICMP, TCP, UDP, SNMP, FTP, TFTP).
. Good undersatnding of Layer 2 & layer 3 switching & routing
Bridging and switching concepts, LAN technologies such as Ethernet-CSMA/CD.
STP - IEEE 802.1d/ IEEE 802.1w, IEEE 802.1s
VLANS, Tagging - IEEE 802.1q, 802.3ad
IP addressing and sub netting, Routing concepts, VLSM/CIDR.
Working knowledge with routing protocols - RIP V1/V2, OSPF
Prepare well on LAyer2/layer 3 technologies
Network Specialization
WAN:
Experience with WAN technologies and protocols - T1/E1, DS3, PPP, Frame Relay-RFC 1490, X.25
Knowledge of ATM -Cells, Signaling, RFC 1483, LANE, CIP, PNNI, SONET/SDH.
Advanced Networking:
BGP v4, IS-IS, VRRP, MPLS, RSVP, LDP.
Working knowledge and in depth knowledge of protocol RADIUS, LDAP, DNS, DHCP.
Multicast switching and routing protocols - IGMP, DVMRP, PIM
QoS, Rate Limiting
Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, ACSS, ACSE,CCIP will be added value
