Job Description: Walk-in Drive - Java Developer at JPMorgan Services India Pvt. Ltd in Bangalore
Job Description
Required Qualifications:
Masters / Bachelors Degree in Engineering / MCA
Strong Communication Skills (Both Written and Oral)
2.5 - 5 years Core-Java/Sybase Development experience
Experience with Applets/AWT/Swings would be a strong plus
Experience in following tools would help: RAD, Eclipse, Maven, SVN, QC
Exposure to JMS, Spring, Webservices, Scrum will be added advantage
Willingness to learn (processes, technologies) with right Attitude required
Responsibilities:
Code in Java and Sybase, participate in Scrum activities within the team
Coordinate with onsite counterparts for BAU activities
Interact with Quality Assurance to understand testing results and reports
Complete implementation within time estimates
Competencies:
2.5 - 4.5 years of strong hands-on expertise in core Java required
2- 3 years of good hands-on expertise in SQL/Sybase required
Development experience with Swings/Applets/AWT would be a strong plus
Experience in following tools would be a plus: RAD, Eclipse, Maven, SVN, QC
Good problem-solving and debugging skills. Self-motivated, takes initiative and ability to meet deadlines
Willingness to Learn, Team player and good attitude required
Ability to write code that is maintainable, extendible and has minimal bugs.
Ability to understand requirements, and ask appropriate questions for clarification as necessary.
Good knowledge of testing practices in an enterprise environment using test tools/frameworks such as JUnit and Mock Objects.
Desired skills / competencies
Familiarity with other J2EE technologies would be a plus
Familiarity with Banking domain would be a strong plus
Exposure to DotNet technology would be beneficial
Additional Skills:
Process and release management skills
Experience working in an agile environment

(UG - Any Graduate) AND (PG - Post Graduation Not Required)
