GIS Technician
Job Description
Qualified in a GIS or relevant degree with appropriate and demonstraitable data capture experience within a GIS environment.
Experience of ESRI technologies, additional experience of MapInfo and AutoCAD would be an advantage.
Experience of the quality control and assurance processes with an eye for detail.
Any experience of digitising from electrical plans would be an advantage.
Experience in international projects would be an advantage.
Experience in photogrammetry would be an advantage although not essential
Must have a valid passport or be in the process of obtaining one.
Desired Profile
As a GIS technician you will be responsible for data creation, maintenance and manipulation.
You will be required to support the GIS team by providing ad-hoc assistance on an 'as need' basis.
You will be required to keep abreast of new GIS technology and quickly learn new GIS packages.
