Job Description
Job Description: In general, Software Quality Analysts monitor application releases through the software development life cycle and perform testing analysis for continuous improvement to reduce future operational costs of applications. Interact with cross-functional teams to identify, prioritize, and help resolve QA/test related project and/or process problems. Work with stockholders to clarify and finalize production/ application requirements. Reviews plans, designs, specifications, and other records and generates quality-related documentation. Evaluates software development life cycle processes and methodology and works with stockholders to drive improvements in those areas. Inspects delivered components, identifies and assures resolution of product defects, and performs verification and validation testing. Is responsible for ensuring the readiness of the test environment and tools required for testing and validating the software product. Generates quality plans (including data quality) that identify pass/fail criteria for acceptance as well as risks and gaps and outlines testing priorities that are traceable to design and requirements. Helps monitor implementation progress and health through various metrics and indicators. Documents the test results to influence project release decisions
Desired Candidate Profile
You should possess a relevant educational qualification. Additional qualifications include:
- General testing techniques, Testing process as per CMMI, Testing tools such as Quality center, QTP, Loadrunner
- Good knowledge of product life cycle, SDLC and others
- Ability to quickly learn and implement business and technology to work
- .NET*, Seibel tool knowledge would be an added advantage
