Microsoft Global Delivery center India is an extension of the global Microsoft IT team developing mission critical enterprise applications that support Microsoft's business worldwide. Since its inception in Oct 2002, GDCI has grown to deliver almost 50% of Microsoft internal IT applications requirements. Besides, it also manages Microsoft's global data centers, corporate network, 8000+ Servers and various other infrastructure management activities from Hyderabad. The Network Operations Center located on the campus in Hyderabad is the backbone of the Microsoft IT team that monitors and supports global IT operations spanning over 300, 000 PCs, 2000 applications, and 89000 end-users in over 83 countries. The IT infrastructure of Microsoft supports in excess of 104, 000 email server accounts and traffic of over 3 million emails a day with 99.99% availability.
GDCI's mission is to work on the next generation technologies based on pre-ready to manufacture (RTM) Microsoft products and technologies like VB.NET; C#.NET; ASP.NET; SQL Server; Yukon; XML web services; SOAP; and BizTalk Server and create applications to run Microsoft Businesses worldwide. GDCI is home to the global centers of excellence where work on defining enterprise architecture and owning technology roadmaps take place
