Educational Qualification : Graduates / Post Graduate Engineers in Mechanical / Automobile / Production / Electrical Engineering from a recognized University / Institution of repute with 60% - 70% marks in aggregate. 2. Preferred Age : Upper age limit as on 1st May 2008 is as follows : Gen - 30 yrs, SC/ST- 35 yrs, OBC 33 yrs. In addition to above PH candidates will be given relaxation (10 years) as per Govt. guidelines . 3. Training Period : Selected candidates will undergo training for a period of two years, from the date of their joining. 4. Remuneration : Selected candidates will be placed on a starting basic pay of Rs.6550/- pm during the 1st year training and Rs.6750/- pm for the 2nd year training in the pay scale ie. Rs.6550-200-11350*. Total emoluments during training period will be approximately be Rs. 15,000/- per month. On successful completion of the training , they will be absorbed as Asst. Engineer in the same pay scale with two additional increments. * Pay scale is due for revision with effect from 01.01.2007. Those candidates with M.E / M.Tech (Full time) qualifications will be given additional 3 increments on completion of Training period. 5. SC/ST/OBC candidates : Relaxation in age, percentage of marks (SC/ST candidates with 55%), application fee (applicable only for SC/ST) and reservation will be as per Government Guidelines. 6. Vacancies & Reservation of vacancies : Approximate No. of vacancies are 70, which may vary (increase / Decrease) depending upon actual requirement. Reservations of vacancies are as follows:- ( SCs - 10 posts, STs 6 posts, OBCs 19 posts) PH candidates like VH/HH/OH having less than 50% disability can also apply for the posts and reservation will be applicable in their cases. 7. The Management reserves the right to increase the minimum % of marks to restrict the number of candidates. 8. Candidates employed in Govt . Quasi Govt / PSUs in addition to applying on line should send the copy of the application through their employer through proper channel , which can be downloaded after submission of online application. 9. The tentative dates for written test and interview is as under : Start Date of receipt of online application : 21st May, 2008 Last date of receipt of application : 4th June, 2008 Download Admit Cards : 10th June, 2008 Tentative Date for Written Test : 15th June, 2008 Declaration of Written Test Results : 17th June, 2008 10. Written test is Planned to be held at Bangalore, New Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkota subject to adequate number of applications being received for all these venues. If enough applications are not received for a particular location or multiple locations, then the candidates will be required to take up test in alternate location as intimated in the Admit card. Eligible candidates may strictly apply online.
