• In-depth understanding of first principles of physics specific to magnetic with ability to use this knowledge in Magneto& Electro static/Eddy & Transient analysis
• Proficiency to derive mathematical model and analytical solution for linear and non-linear systems. More specifically, the candidate must have demonstrated the following skills continuously throughout his/her career: 1) have the capability of creating first principles electro magnetic models by starting with fundamental governing equations ( i.e. Maxwell's equations) 2) have the capability of both employing simplifying assumptions and gauging the effect said assumptions on the resulting model and 3) have the capability to either numerically or analytically (or a use a combination of both ) solve the governing system of equations. The candidate must have proficiency in solving the above referenced systems of equation with either finite element or boundary element techniques as necessary.
• Proficiency to understand for analysis done in Ansoft Maxwell 3D, MagNet and basic usage of both C/C++ and Matlab
• Published technical papers specifically in the area of computational solution of electro magnetic systems (such as motors etc) .
Work in a global team as an Individual contributor with significant responsibilities for fundamental magnetic design. The responsibilities include deriving analytical solution for linear and non linear system and developing the mathematical model starting with fundamental governing equations (i.e. Maxwell's equations). Provide a key interface between the NPI design team and simulation team to come out with expert systems for complex design to bring down design cycle time significantly . Work along with design team to mentor in developing a methodical approach for building the technical road map. It is also expected that the candidate would develop technical expertise in selected product line and develop proposals/growth ideas, patentable opportunities & work for improving the product line.
