Description At IHG, everyone has room to be themselves. That's what makes our 7 brands of hotels and offices the energetic, passionate and special places they are to work in. The Holiday Inn Pune Hinjewadi, which is scheduled to open in mid 2010 is a brand new 250 rooms hotel that will spread over 3 acres of land and is approximately 14kms from the City Centre of Pune. Situated near the Balewadi Stadium, this stylish hotel will have state-of-the-art facilities such as meeting rooms, business center, 24 hour restaurants, swimming pool, multi-cuisine / theme restaurants, executive lounge, gymnasium and spa. We're looking for a Director of Finance & Business Support to be part of the hotel pre-opening team. You'll report directly to the General Manager and lead the pre-opening activities of the hotel which include setting up all of the financial systems and processes for this property.
Key responsibilities of the role include :
* Providing financial guidance in the formulation and implementation of Strategic Plan, Budget and Key Performance Objectives * Providing cash flow projection and performance through controls on inventory, credit and collection, disbursements, deposits and remittances * Preparing monthly position of actual results against budget, analysing results and recommending to Executive Committee the measures required to meet budget * Preparing consolidated quarterly position assessments for the General Manager * Implementing and reviewing financial controls and policies * Designing of internal reporting systems * Managing internal and external audits * Managing capital expenditure compliance and approval * Reviewing of prices and recommending pricing strategy to the General Manager
Qualifications Ideally, you'll have some or all of the following things we're looking for :
* Bachelor of Business, Accounting, Finance or Commerce with 1 - 3 years of experience in a similar capacity * Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) qualifications preferred * Excellent knowledge of hotel accounting software(s) e.g. Sun * Basic knowledge of hotel reservations system(s) e.g. Opera, Fidelio * Basic knowledge of hotel point of sales system(s) e.g. Micros, Squirrel * Negotiation and effective presentation skills * Good English and local language skills (like Marathi and Hindi) are required
