Job Summary:
As a Manager in Global Sourcing Services (GSS), NetApp's Indirect Procurement Group, you are responsible for sourcing indirect spend, maximizing revenue opportunities while minimizing business and legal exposure for NetApp India. Ensures contacts and business relationships adhere to company policy and legal requirements. This includes creating cost savings for NetApp, identifying and developing high quality suppliers for NetApp, increasing the efficiency of the purchasing process, ensuring a fair and equitable environment for suppliers doing business with NetApp.
To be successful you will be a seasoned professional, with a strong background in purchasing, project management and managerial skills.
Job Requirements Task Knowledge Includes
• Procurement, contractual and supplier management responsibilities for NetApp's indirect spend
• Drafting of complex agreements, Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Proposal (RFP)and Request for Quotation (RFQ) documentation with no direction using traditional or e-sourcing applications
• Setting and participating in periodic performance reviews with senior GSS management for GSS owned suppliers
• Oversee supplier performance consistent with established goals and performance metrics
• Aggressive pursuit of cost savings opportunities balanced with creating win-win supplier contract terms for optimal service
• Setting, identifying and leading team to reach strategic cost savings targets
• Proficiency in developing and executing commodity strategies as well as leads diverse project and programs
• Proficient at managing NetApp Human Resources objectives in accordance with NetApp's Management Excellence Program
• Leading the team to analyze, prioritize and execute high level global commodity goals and responsible to forecast quarterly cost savings goals and market share targets
• Proficiency with interfacing with inter-organizational management levels to support team projects, new programs, or to resolve conflict
• Makes decisions with minimal escalation's to support indirect procurement strategy on a global basis
• Proficient as a manager. Makes decisions and influences Senior management regarding important issues affecting activities of multiple functions or organizations
• As a manager, provides direction to other commodity staff and cross functional teams (legal/finance etc.) other staff in completion of major and /or complex projects
• Proficiency to create vision to drive the business model forward and be able to drive execution of the new model
• Identify and initiate and lead NetApp project opportunities
• Proficient in change management to drive change within the organization

• Ability to foresee problems and or issues and act before they occur
