The Business analysts is responsible for correlating; manipulating and transforming data into business information that helps management fulfill operational and strategic objectives. The Analyst need to find innovative ways to search for meaningful patterns, trends, and relationships by sifting through large amounts of data. The person will have to work across business units and functions for acquisition of data and dissemination of results.
Essential Functions:
- Compile and analyze data using quantitative and qualitative methods to develop models, taking into account secondary research as well as market trends.
- Analyze business problems using root cause analysis, hypothesis generation, survey design, benchmarking, and other qualitative and quantitative methods.
- Develop business case scenarios and models
- Proficiency with basic statistical concepts (regression analysis, factor analysis, significance testing, etc.)
- Support company’s efforts to develop further methodologies to segment customer database for the purpose of implementing more successful one-to-one marketing campaigns based on user demographic, psychographic and success profiles using data mining techniques.
- Work with business units to create business models
