Oracle is a worldwide leader in providing cutting edge technologies and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications to some of the world’s largest companies, and we are looking for skilled and energetic Performance & Benchmarks Engineers to help improve the quality of those software offerings. Using widely accepted performance testing & benchmarks methodologies, you will collaborate with product managers, developers, customers, and other performance & benchmarks engineers to produce comprehensive performance test suites for new products, and refine existing test suites for established products. If your passion is performance & benchmarks engineering and you are skilled at all types of trending & performance testing, performance tuning, Oracle Database & PeopleSoft administration, then you may be a compliment to this role. Your responsibilities will include:
* Complete ownership and responsibility on installation, administration, tuning and building the Peoplesoft application environment
* Design, development & automation of test scripts using Loadrunner & QTP
* Execute trending and benchmarks test on online and batch transactions and publish results
* Monitor & analyze the performance issues and provide tuning recommendations.
Skills Requirements - Base Skills
MCA /BE/BSC/BCA in Computer Science/IT
3 to 5 years of total experience
Thorough understanding of established performance testing & benchmarks methodologies
Experience in automation of scripts using Mercury LoadRunner and QTP
Working knowledge in Oracle Database administration
Experience on Oracle Database performance tuning will be an added advantage
Experience with Peoplesoft application will be an asset
Working knowledge with UNIX/ Windows operating systems
Programming skills with Java, C++ or other Object Oriented programming language will be an advantage
Exceptional problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Ability to multitask and thrive in a dynamic environment
Ability to work well independently and in a team environment
Detailed Description
As a member of the software engineering division, you will apply basic to intermediate knowledge of software architecture to perform software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements to the architecture.
Job Requirements
Duties and tasks are standard with some variation; displays understanding of roles, processes and procedures. Performs moderately complex problem solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying company policies and processes. Preferred Qualifications: BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 1 year of software engineering or related experience.
