Brief Description
Analyze, design develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for commercial or end user applications. Writes code, completes programming and performs testing and debugging of applications.
Detailed Description
As a member of the software engineering division, you will perform detailed design based on provided high level design specifications. Assist in system planning, scheduling and implementation. Build enhancements (including new product features) and resolve bugs. Build and execute unit test and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Interact with QA and porting engineering about problems in the code.
Job Requirements
Duties and tasks are standard with some variation; displays understanding of roles, processes and procedures. Performs moderately complex problem solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying company policies and processes. Preferred Qualifications: BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 1 year of software engineering or related experience.
Additional Details
Looking for start level IC2. Candidate should have consistently good acads in Class X and Class XII. Should be graduate engineer from a reputed engineering college like top NIT or IIT. Should be software engineerining trained with one of the big SI firm in India like Infosys, TCS, Wipro. 8-12 months work experience would be ideal for this position.
For the initial 10-12 months work would be on Oracle Forms platform on RWMS. However, subsequently the work would be on Java/J2EE and Fusion technology stack.
Skillset needed for RWMS
* Database:
1. Restoration using export, import.
2. Database, Application & SQL Tuning.
3. Efficient in writing PL/SQL Procedures, Functions, Packages, Triggers & Collections for solving complex business rules.
* Code Maintenance
1. Proficient in VSS/PVCS Administration or any other code maintenance tool
* Forms Programming Skills
1. Form Builder and its components: Object Navigator, Layout Editor, Property Palette, Menu Editor, Object Library Editor and PL/SQL Editor, Standard Query Language (SQL)
2. Form Builder as an object-oriented and event-driven programming environment.
3. Events associated with each object, triggers they fire.
4. Debugging techniques and activities. Integration of Forms with other Oracle Developer tools such as Report Builder and Graphic Builder. Development and deployment of Forms applications on the Web in a three-tier architecture. Use of Oracle Designer in creating, maintaining, and generating Form Builder modules.
* Java Programming Skills
1. Understanding of Java and Java concepts
2. Ability to work in core Java, J2EE (optional)
3. Understand and read designs and UML notations
4. Understand n-tier architecture and abstractions
