This Global Repair & Overhaul Engineering position will perform an integral role in developing, modifying, and enhancing the repair and overhaul engineering organization throughout the Avionics and Electronics (Avel) sites. This position reports solid lined to the GROE parent organization in Phoenix, Arizona. The position will coordinate engineering activities for the Asian & European sites (5 Sites) with responsibility for results, including costs, productivity savings, methods, and staffing. The position requires a highly motivated individual that has the ability to both lead and influence others while dealing with diverse technical issues spread over the breadth of products within the R&O Avel business. Responsibilities Include: Engineering: Lead remote site engineers by clearly assigning responsibility for tasks and decisions, setting clear objectives, establishing metrics, monitoring results, and delivering timely and objective feedback on accomplishments • Support productivity initiatives to meet financial objectives • Identify productivity projects for maximum savings and effectiveness through in-depth data analysis • Prioritize productivity projects for engineering test services, hardware, and documentation • Communicate vision and purpose of GROE organization to all facets of ISC sites including technicians • Define and develop systems/processes in support of COE standard work and product equivalency across the Global AvEl R&O business • Coordinate with AvEl ISC Site Leaders to ensure common objectives and maximize best practices sharing and re-use • Implement strategic policies when selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results • Interact and present to senior management on issues concerning multiple functional areas, business units, and customers • Manages the partnership extension of GROE in HTS locations. Responsible for budget management and work load management/performance of the HTS extension team.
Information Technology: Business Analyst Function - • Manages the System Development Requirements Translation and IT base knowledge to support the system requirements of GROE-Avel team. • Coordinate with the GERMS team in ensuring the captured data and reported data are meeting the needs to the GROE-Avel team. • Provide detailed instructions for system modeling and development to adapt to fast business requirement changes. Coding Function - • Support the system development team in case of emergencies business requirements by PHP / MYSQL scripting/coding. • Define coordinate, verify and manage the SAP, AS400, MAPPER, Mainframe enterprise system extractions. • Develop large data set mapping / modeling / handling / mining methods. Testing Function - • Need to perform vertical and horizontal checking of large data set modeling / mapping / handling • Need to verify PHP/MYSQL scripts for business logic and efficiency
Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or equivalent is required; BSEE desirable • Advanced engineering or business degree or equivalent is required • Previous experience in aerospace aftermarket engineering or operations/supply chain organizations desirable; previous supervisory experience desirable • Basic understanding of digital and analog circuitry/components/systems • Six Sigma Green Belt or DFSS Certification required • Understanding of FAR 21 (OEM-Factory) and FAR 145 (Repair Station) requirements • Knowledge and experience related to ITAR information and compliance to export regulations • Ability and willingness to travel within and outside Asia and Europe up to 25+% of the time to integrate multiple locations into an effective team •Demonstrate PHP / MYSQL scripting experience (no certification required) •IT System - Business Analyst, Modeling, Development, Management, Testing experience required • Adheres to code of conduct, lives by Honeywell values, rewards right behaviors
