Job Description
Applications are invited upto 5.45 p.m on 04/06/2008 for recruitment to the following post in Department of Handlooms and Textiles, Tamilnadu Government :-
Junior Technical Asistant : 1853 posts, Pay Scale : Rs.5000-8000/-
Qualification : A pass in SSLS Examination and Diploma in Handloom Technology obtained from Indian Institute of Handloom Technology, Salem or Varanasi or from any recognised Institute of Handloom technology OR Diploma in Textile Manufacture obtained from the Technological Diploma Examination Board, Chennai or the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Tamil Nadu
Age : 18-30 years, Age relxation for reserved category as per rules.
Selection Process: Selection will be made on the basis of the total marks obtained by the candidates at the Written Examination and Oral Test taken together subject to the rule of reservation of appointments.
Last date for receipt of applications : 04/06/2008
Date of written Examination : 24/08/2008
Application Fee : Rs.100/- should be paid by Postal Reciept (Service Charge of Rs.5/- for post officed shoulod be paid saperately)
OMR Application : OMR application form along with an Information Brochure containing General Instructions for filling up the application form, Commission’s ‘Instructions, etc. to candidates’ and an envelope for sending application can be obtained from any one of the HEAD POST OFFICES or selected Sub-Post Offices (236 Nos.) in Tamil Nadu / Puducherry on payment of Rs.30/-.
Filled in applications must be sent to the Controller of Examinations, Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission, Omanthoorar Government Estate, Anna Salai, Chennai – 600002 by Registered Post / Speed Post well in advance so as to reach the Commission’s Office before 5.45 p.m. on 04/06/2008.
