EMCO Ltd. is one of the most respected companies in the power sector for more than 4 decades. It is an end-to-end solution provider in the Transmission & Distribution sector.
It is 3rd largest manufacturer of Transformers in India and a leading player in turnkey Electrical Sub-station and Transmission Line business up to 400 kV. It also has a significant presence in the Electronic Energy Meters in India.

Last year, the company acquired URJA Engineers Ltd., a Baroda based transmission line company executing turnkey transmission line projects up to 400 kV. This company has now been merged into EMCO. This would give EMCO capability to execute the turnkey transmission line projects up to 400 kV.
The company has expanded its manufacturing facilities at all locations to continue to maintain its growth as it intends to double its turnover every two years.
EMCO currently has 15% of its sales coming from International business from around 25 countries and its medium term objective is to achieve 30% sales from International market.
Further the company has plans for synergic diversification in to Switchgear business, up to 400 kv, which would further add to the top line and bottom line of the company.
The company is also in the process of setting up a 270 MW Coal based Power Project 540 MW Thermal Power Project in Maharashtra near Nagpur for which it has already obtained Land, Water and Fuel linkage. The financial closure is under discussion and is expected to be completed soon. The total outlay for this project is Rs. 2000 Crores.
