Purpose of the Role:

* Collateral Enablement is part of Capital and Funding programme. This project is aimed at providing a long term, sustainable solution to group's securitisation of assets. It aims to develop an engine to provide optimum flexibility and processing speed for assets on Technology Services supported systems. This role is to manage a testing team in order to ensure defect free software delivered on time.

Activities:

* To give inputs to Test estimation and to design test scenarios by analysing requirements of the given software.
* To test software that is delivered in the test environment against specifications and timescales by developing and executing test cases.
* To ensure and influence that test case are development to existing standards by participating in reviews.
* To ensure test faults/defects are logged whilst testing the software and are tracked to closure.
* To ensure linkage of test cases and requirements using the traceability matrix.
* To ensure and influence that the root cause of a defect has been clearly logged.

Person Specification

Essential Experience:

Essential:

* 5+yrs of experience in Testing in the software industry
* Proven hands on experience in writing SQL Queries and in the use of tools such as SQL Navigator, Toad
* Experience of Java/ J2EE Web/ Data-Ware house/Oracle/ BOXI projects
* Well versed with the different testing methodologies/ techniques/phases and capable of determining the use based on project needs
* Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

* Good Oral/written communication skills
* Ability to prioritise tasks as per the needs of the project
* Positive attitude towards sharing knowledge with the team
* Ability to accept and deliver assistance to meet deadlines; self-directed, organized, and willing to shift priorities to meet business needs

Technical Competence:

Essential:

* Proven hands on experience in writing SQL Queries and in the use of tools such as SQL Navigator, Toad; and understands RDBMS concepts
* Experience of Java/ J2EE Web/ Data-Ware house/Oracle/ BOXI projects
* Well versed with the different testing methodologies/ techniques/phases and is capable of determining use based on project needs
* Proficiency in some of: Manual black box testing,
* Performance Testing using Load Runner or similar tools, Test Automation using QTP or similar tools, Test Director/ PCVS Tracker.

Desirable:

* Knowledge of Test Director/Quality Centre
* Automation / Performance testing experience
Education Qualification :

Essential:
* BE / M Tech / MCA

Desirable:
* CSTE/ISTQB Certification
