The main objective is to classify the students in order to predict their final grade Based on features extracted from logged data in an educational web based system. We can give the grades to students through data mining. In data mining we have multiple classifiers. A combination of multiple classifiers leads to a significant improvement in classification performance. We use genetic algorithm to optimize the prediction accuracy.
We are going to apply Genetic programming to produce many different Combination of features ,to extract new features and improve prediction accuracy.Online Educational systems are to present courses and instructional programs through the web. These systems tend to use existing materials and present them as a static package via the Internet. There is another approach, pursued in LON-CAPA (Learning Online Network With Computer Assisted PersonalizedApproach). .As it is an online education system. We design, implement and evaluate a Series of pattern classifiers with various parameters in order to compare their performance on a data set from LON-CAPA. Genetic Algorithms are easily parallezible and have been used for classification as well as other optimization problems.
