Purpose
To determine of my experiment is to find out if androstenedione promotes weight gain. The drug is a testosterone producer and makers of it say it will allow greater weight gains in shorter time periods. Iwill test this on a group of rats to test the accountability of their claims.

Hypothesis

I believe that the rats that receive the androstenedione will gain more weight than the rats not receiving the drug.

Materials and Procedure

1) rats
2) androstenedione (100 mg capsules)
3) cage
4) wood shavings
5) bowl
6) scale
7) dropper

First the rats were placed into a cage properly equipped with all food and water required for each rat. The rats were weighed each day at a certain time. The androstenedione was weighed on the scale and evenly divided in portions. The androstenedione was then mixed with a small and consistent amount of water and placed in a dropper. The dropper of fluid was then injected into the rats mouth and the process was repeated until all of the specific group received their portion. They were then weighed again the next day and the process was repeated.

Conclusions
Over a period of thirty days, the rats given androstenedione gained more weight than those rats given no androstenedione.
