Here is an experiment which shows that if the water is coloured and a small plant with white colour flowers are placed in it, gradually the colour of the flower changes to the colour of the water.
To prove this, take a glass of water and pour some blue colour ink. Take a small plant having its root and bearing white flowers and keep the plant for a day or two. Gradually the colour of the flowers turn to blue colour.
This shows that the water taken by the root is circulated to different parts of the plant and has its impact on it by which the colour of the flowers are also changed.
