WORKING OF MICROWAVE OVEN

Posted Date:     Total Responses: 0    Posted By: ramkumar ("sing, sing n sing")   Member Level: Silver   Points/Cash: 1

WHEN THE OVEN IS OPERATED, MICROWAVES ARE GENERATED AND A NON-UNIFORM OSCILLATING ELECTRIC FIELD IS FORMED. THE WATER MOLECULES IN THE FOOD, WHICH ARE THE ELECTRIC DIPOLES, ARE EXCITED BY AN OSCILLATING TORQUE. HENCE, FEW BONDS IN THE WATER MOLECULES ARE BROKEN AND HEAT ENERGY IS PRODUCED. THIS HEAT ENERGY IS USED TO COOK THE FOOD.

Needed a detailed explanation. Try rewriting the article with thorough detail and in layman's language so that even a casual visitor can get something from it.

Hi Ramkumar,
You have posted the working of microwave oven. That was good but this is not a project. You have posted the theory how it works. Try to make a model and explain.
Thank You.
