Let us understand this by this example, if I search for the string "BAT" in a search engine, the results that I would get would most probably be linked to the cricket bat, the animal bat, the company BAT (British American Tobacco) and so on. But, what if the user wants only a certain kind of result and not the other?
In this case we need to differentiate between different categories and that is the sole purpose of the categorical search engine.
To do this we need to divide the entire web into certain number of categories and then provide the user with the power to search within a particular category.

your concept is very good. This type of search provided by www.bing.com now days. bing is giving good result compare to google according to me.
You can do same task in google by changing your setting also.
I am agree with ranjit that this type of search engine is not user frdly
