SECTION - I
1. a) List and explain instruction set of accumulator based CPU.[Marks 6] b) Give HDL description of data path to perform n bit multiplication using Robertson Algorithm.[Marks 6]
2. a) Explain steps to be performed when you add two floating point numbers with example.[Marks 7] b) The performance of 100MHz microprocessor P is measured by executing 10,000,000 instructions of benchmark code which is found to take 0.25sec. What are the values of CPI and MIPS for this performance experiment.[Marks 6]
3. a)Draw data path block diagram to perform the 2s complement multiplication.[Marks 6] b) Explain instruction fetch,decode and execution.[Marks 6]
