Answer ONE question from each Unit
UNIT - I [1 x 12 = 12M]
1) A point P moves towards another point O, 75 mm from it and reaches it while moving around it once, its movement towards O being uniform with its movement around it. Draw the curve traced out by point P. (OR)
2) Two points A and B are 50 mm apart. Draw the curve traced out by a point P moving in such a way that the difference between its distances from A and B is always constant and equal to 20 mm.
UNIT - II [1 x 12 = 12M]
3) The top view of a 75 mm long line CD measures 50 mm. C is 40 mm in front of the V.P. and 10 mm below the HP. D is 15 mm in front of the V.P. and is above the H.P. Draw the front view of CD and find its inclinations with the H.P. and the V.P. Show its traces. (OR)
4) A line PQ, 100 mm long is inclined at 45º to the V.P. its mid point is in the VP and 20 mm above the H.P. Draw its projections if its end P is in the third quadrant and Q is in the first quadrant.
UNIT - III [1 x 12 = 12M]
5) A regular Hexagonal plane of side 40 mm has its one side in the H.P. making an angle of 15º with the V.P. The plane makes an angle of 50º with the H.P. and the point D lies in the V.P. Draw the projections of the plane and find its angle with V.P. (OR)
6) Determine the true shape of the figure, the top view of which is a regular pentagon of 30 mm side, having one side inclined at 30º to xy and whose front view is a straight line making an angle of 45º with xy.
UNIT - IV [1 x 12 = 12M]
7) Draw the projections of a cone, base 50 mm diameter and axis 75 mm long lying on a generator on the ground with the top view of the axis making an angle of 45º with the vertical plane. (OR)
8) A pentagonal pyramid base 25 mm side and axis 50 mm long has one of its triangular faces in the V.P. and the edge of the base contained by that face makes an angle of 30º with the H.P. Draw its projections.
UNIT - V [1 x 12 = 12M]
9) The outside dimensions of a box made of 4 cm thick planks are 90 cm x 60 cm x 60 cm height. The depth of the lid on the outside is 12 cm. Draw the isometric view of the box when the lid is 90º open. (OR)
10) Draw the front, top and side view of the object shown below (attached as document 'Image').
