a) List the different types of errors in instrumentation.
b) What is the use of swamping resistor in PMMC instrument?
c) Define the term voltmeter sensitivity.
d) What is the difference between Maxwell's and Hays Bridge?
e) Write differences between AC and DC bridges?
f) What are the sources if errors in digital voltmeter?
g) What is the necessity of time base in CRO?
h) Define the term secondary emission ratio.
i) Name at least five front panel controls in CRO.
j) Define the term harmonic distortion.
k) What is the advantage of hetero dyne spectrum analyzer?
l) Define duty cycle.

2. a) Explain the significance of statistical analysis in instrumentation.
2. b) Define the terms Accuracy, Precision, Limiting errors. (OR)
3. a) Describe the construction and working of series type ohm meter.
3. b) Explain working of electrodynamometer in power measurement.

UNIT - II [1 x 12 = 12M]

4. a) Explain how you will measure unknown capacitance using Schering Bridge.
4. b) Explain how stray capacitance is minimized using Wagner ground connection. (OR)
5. a) Explain the block diagram of true RMS responding voltmeter.
5. b) Draw the circuit diagram of Q meter and explain its functioning.

UNIT - III [1 x 12 = 12M]

6. a) Explain the measurement of voltage, frequency and phase using CRO.
6. b) Draw the block diagram of dual trace oscilloscope and explain its working. (OR)
7. a) Draw and explain the working of sampling oscilloscope.
7. b) Write short notes on oscilloscope probes.

8. a) Explain the operation of a square wave generator.
8. b) Draw the block diagram of heterodyne type spectrum analyzer and explain its working. (OR)
