1. Briefly explain following [12 x 1 = 12M]
a) Define Millers theorem.
b) What are the advantages of h-parameters?
c) Draw the low frequency small signal model of FET.
d) Explain Higher -order harmonic distortion.
e) What is the efficiency of class A amplifier?
f) What are the advantages of push pull power amplifier?
g) Draw the circuit diagram of current series feedback amplifier
h) Classify the amplifiers.
i) What is the significance of negative feedback?
j) Define ripple factor.
k) What are the Barkhusen conditions for oscillations?
l) Draw the circuit diagram of Colpitt's oscillator.

UNIT - I [1 x 12 = 12M]

2. a) Analyze the single stage transistor amplifier using h-parameters.
2. b) Explain the operation of emitter follower. (OR)
3. a) For the emitter follower with R6=1 K Ohm and R1=5 K Ohm. Determine the various characteristic parameters by assuming h-parameters as hfe=75, hie=1.1 K, hoe=25μA/v.
3. b) Explain the operation of cascade transmitter amplifier.

4. a) Show the class B push pull amplifier exhibit half wave symmetry.
4. b) Explain about transformer coupled class A power amplifier. (OR)
5. a) Explain the working of class A power amplifier.
5. b) Explain the working of class B push pull amplifier and explain their operation.

UNIT - III [1 x 12 = 12M]

6. a) Enumerate the effect of negative feedback on the various characteristics of the amplifier.
6. b) Draw the circuit diagram of a voltage series feedback and derive the expression for input and output resistances. (OR)
7. What are the various feedback amplifier and explain them.

UNIT - IV [1 x 12 = 12M]

8. a) Explain the working of Wein bridge oscillator using BJT also derive the expression of frequency of oscillations.
8. b) Explain the full wave rectifier with necessary expressions. (OR)
9. a) Derive the frequency oscillation of RC phase shift oscillator and explain the circuit.
9. b) How the diode acts as a rectifier?
