2. b) Differentiate between the following
i) Interacting and non Interacting Process.

b) P+D control.

4. a) Compare Pneumatic and Electronic based controller.
4. b) With neat diagram explain working principle of Pneumatic Transmitter. (OR)
5. a) Write short notes on Hydraulic type actuators
5. b) Write short notes on Control valve selection.

UNIT - III [1 x 12 = 12M]

6. a) What is the need for Ratio control in process control applications?
6. b) Compare feedback and feed forward plus feedback controller design. (OR)
7. a) Explain Dead time compensation.
7. b) With a neat block diagram, explain the design of cascade controller.

UNIT - IV [1 x 12 = 12M]

8. a) What do you mean by process identification? Give a brief notes on Frequency testing.
8. b) How can controller tuning be made effective for system stability? (OR)
9. a) Explain Zeigler-Nichols closed loop tuning method.
9. b) Find out Z-N PID setting if Ku = 4 and Pu = 20 second, where Ku and Pu are ultimate gain and ultimate period.
