Worth of Hard Work

What is worth of hard work? Can hard work be measured? Yes, it can be measured through the medium of money. You can measure the hard work by the value you have received, money received in exchange of work done. Is there any other way to evaluate approximately worth of hard work? I think no. There is no other way to measure the correct worth of hard work. Sometimes, it happens that rational return on hard work can’t be expected. At all times, we are not able to get the reasonable value of hard work, in terms of money. At times, if we are not able to get the proper value of hard work, then is it correct to say that hard work is of no worth?

The universal truth must be acknowledged that there is no substitute for hard work. There are no short cuts in life. Hard work is what is needed to succeed. Thomas Edison is credited with saying, Success is 99% hard work... and only 1% genius.

We can ascertain infinite illustrations of personalities who have achieved their position by way of hard work and commitment only. There are several personalities from various fields who have reached at the elevation of prominence incredibly. Be it Scientists, Industrialists, Leaders, Personalities from Film Industry, Sportspersons, Professionals, Philosophers, Intellectuals or Groups of Persons.

Our former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri had rightly said, ‘Jay Jawan, Jay Kishan’. Jawan are soldiers of our country, because of whom we can take breath free of apprehension, we can sleep at night at our home and we are protected. Kishan are the persons who produce food for us. What we would eat if they do not produce grains? Third significant person is ‘Mazdoor’, because of whom big businessmen are doing their business. These people are pillar for the world to survive. World needs support of these category of persons to survive. These people are base for survival of human being. Without these people, we don’t even think make progress. Hard work is the watchword of their life. They are finest illustration of hard work.

Independence is the first dream of anyone. Who does not like freedom? No one on this earth would say that he does not like freedom; he would like detention. Be it human, animal or bird, everyone loves freedom. India got freedom from the British rule on August 15, 1947. We have not got this invaluable freedom free of cost. We are enjoying this freedom because of great efforts and blood of our great leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Bhagat Singh, Lala Lajpat Rai, Subhash Chandra Bose and our great freedom fighters and because of their mammoth hard work. In order to get the Independence, our leaders and freedom fighters have done hard work with passion. If we think from the other side, the British had ruled our country, why? It was their hard work too. No one can rule the other country by taking opportunity or otherwise, it is their hard work. So it can be said that for doing something great or doing something worst, one needs to do hard work. Without hard work nothing can be achieved.

In the same way other leaders like Indira Gandhi, Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Rajiv Gandhi have done great job for the development and peace of the nation through hard work and vision. Contemporary leaders Dr. Manmohan Singh, Narendra Modi, Rahul Gandhi and some others are also doing hard work for the growth of the nation. Hard work is the definitive selection to achieve anything.

Great Scientists of the world have invented and discovered many things for the world. Many inventions and discoveries are advantageous for the human being today. Inventions like Telephone, Motor Car, Television, Aero Plane and Boat, Telescope, Steam Engine, Ayurveda and many more are used and enjoyed by the mankind. Laws and Principles of Science and Mathematics and Law of Gravity have helped to invent the other inventions, set another rules or principles so that they can help the human being in various fields. There were several scientists about whom we have heard and read a lot. They are Charaka, Aryabhatt, Bhaskara, Homi Bhabha, CV Raman, Jagdish Chandra Bose, Vikram Sarabhai, APJ Abdul Kalam, Isaac Newton, Albert Einstein, Charles Darwin, Thomas Alva Edison and Galilei Galileo. They were so hard worker and crazy that many of them had not lived their life properly to Invent or to discover something for the assistance of the society. They had to suffer a lot against the evil element of the society, many of them had to pass their life in imprisonment for a long period of their life. They had to cop up with the society because no one was believed them. Salute these great personalities and their hard work.

These businessmen have contributed to the growth of our nation in a fabulous way and at an extraordinary level. Thanks to insight and acumen of these businessmen that India becomes fastest growing economy of the world. They have demonstrated that with vision and hard work we can reach at a remarkable and noteworthy position. Sky is the limit for the one who want to do hard work. Other Industrialists at world level are Laxmi Mittal from Arcelor Mittal, Bill Gates from Microsoft and Warren Buffet from Berkshire Hathaway whose vision and hard work is also unbelievable.

Sachin Tendulkar, the great legend of world cricket. A gem of cricket, Sachin Tendulkar, holds almost all batting records of cricket in his name. This genius batsman has damaged the bowling line up of teams of all cricket playing nations. He has smashed the bowling average of supreme bowlers of the world. All bowlers have fear to bowl against this master batsman. It is horrible for them to bowl against this little champion. Influenced by his hitting power and ability, some bowlers have seen terrible dreams of hitting sixes. Do you think has he pulled off this extraordinary achievement by chance? No, this achievement is the beautiful result of hard work. His rare achievements are for him only because everyone can’t concentrate like him. Constant concentration for 20 years is an exceptional achievement for this spectacular player only, who can work hard from the solid determination. Some other great players have also achieved some amazing success in their career. Amitabh Bachchan, the marvelous actor and towering personality from Indian Film Industry, is very well active at the age of 68 years. It is amazing that at this age, he is competing with youngsters. Young actors seem tiny against him; no one is competent enough to stand against him, no one of his caliber. He is unique and has evolved exceptional, incomparable and irreplaceable skill sets with tough work and commitment. He has completed more than 40 years in his profession. Looking at his magnificent career, we can see his altitude and vast difference from others, no one is able to reach at in the vicinity of him. He has done and is doing very much hard work to reach at this height. At present, he works more than 15 hours a day with the unique passion. It is surprisingly that at this age, he constantly tries to learn even after reach at this gigantic level. He is the institution for youngsters who can learn everything from him. Shine of his performance has not ended, actually he is giving better performances day by day. His commitment and hard work are unbelievable. There are some other personalities from the film industry whose achievements are incredible. In the same way, Professionals like Chartered Accountants, Company Secretaries, Cost Accountants, Masters of Business Administration, Doctors, Engineers, Lawyers, Officers from Indian Administrative Service or Indian Revenue Service or Indian Police Service also have to work hard to achieve the milestone in their life. These professional degrees are landmarks in life of anyone. These degrees can change the life of a person and these persons can change the society. Great professional have achieved great position in their life by way of tough work and they are serving to the society in an incredible manner.

Some other instances of great work are Mother Teresa, Zakir Hussain, Maharana Pratap, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and many more. Mother Teresa, a great saint had spent her entire life for peace and serving for mankind. Mother Teresa has done more than enough for the service of the mankind. Zakir Hussain, a great musician, a perfect model for the people interested in music. Maharana Pratap, a great warrior and supreme emperor of Chittorgarh had established his ability as a warrior. He was very much strong in his skills. He was a capable emperor and perfect paradigm of bravery and courage. Shivaji was nucleus of Maratha history. Sometimes it happens that we do not get a rational reward even if hard work is done for some task or in our practical life come across some instances in which someone has got excellent reward without doing hard work. We should not take these cases in sensible manner. Life consists of chances, opportunities, planning, success and failure and so on. One thing needs to be clear in mind that hard work is suitable and appropriate solution to every sort of problems, questions, matters and difficulties. Never bring in thoughts or behaviour that hard work is of no use. Life is one-way, you can see at the back but can’t go there so do not miss the chance of doing hard work otherwise time once elapsed would never come again. Hard work is the ultimate solution for anything.

So it is very much evident from the above mentioned illustrations that hard work is very much important in our life. Great creations are the outcome of hard work. Great personas are also consequences of hard work. Great personality of today was an ordinary individual of yesterday but commitment and hard work with proper planning have changed their life. Progress, growth, development are directly linked to hard work. Performance comes from passion not from pressure. If you have passion for doing hard work then you would love to do that. Nurturing of passion for doing hard work is most crucial, if you have passion to do hard work, then you can do anything which you can visualized. Without hard work you are nothing and with hard work you are everything.
