Imphal : Imphal is the capital city of Manipur state. The historic Shree Govindajee Temple is located near to the Royal Palace in Imphal. The presiding deity are the shrines of Krishna, Balaram and Jagannath. The Raash Leela dance celebrated in the region is one of the main attraction. The war cemeteries, which commemorate the British and the Indian soldiers who died in the 2nd World War managed by Commonwealth War Graves Commission.
Moirang : Moirang is one of the tourist spot in the state. It is located 45 kilometer from Imphal. The oldest temple Lord Thangjing is located here. The flag of the Indian National Army was first raised in Moirang in the year 1944. There is a museum of Indian National Army in Moirang which is one of the attraction of the region. During the 2nd World War it was the headquarter of Indian National Army.
Loktak Lake and Sendra Island : Loktak Lake and Sendra Island is located 45 kilometer away from Imphal. Loktak Lake is the biggest freshwater lake of North East India. The Keibul Lamjao National Park is situated in the southern part of the lake. It is the only floating National Park of the world. From the Sendra Island Tourist Bungalow there is a dazzling view of the lake.
Ukhrul : Ukhrul is the highest hill station in Manipur. This is mainly famous for lovely Siroy Lilies, which is grow here in abundance. Kangkhui, the lime cave is also one of the attraction of the region.
Manipur has at least 500 different varities of orchids which is preserved in The Central Khonghampat Orchidarium. It is only 7 kilometer away from Imphal. One can see here at least 110 species of orchids. Langthabal is one of the important place in Manipur which is famous for old historic palace, temples of architectural importance and ceremonial houses. Kangchup is the Health Resort which is located 16 kilometer away from Imphal from where one can see the lovely view of Manipur Valley from its Lofty Perch. Waithou is a village which is famous for the Pineapples. Bishnupur is one of the place, where the Brick Bishnu Temple is located is 27 kilometer away from Imphal.
