I have been doing this and its very effective. Although I have just started a website, I can see that the visitors are rising. I think this is because of the forums and articles that I have submitted. Well an additional way to get traffic to your website is by submitting your website to classified adds. There are free classified adds and there are also those who charge for payment. So its really up to you.

I just find out some other ways to earn and this are posting comments to blogs and leaving your website url or blogspot, another way it to link your blog with other blogs using bloglinker. There is also another site that offers links exchange. So perhaps this could also be a good help to gain traffic. Best to all of us!
