Mr. Tony,
I will suggest that you put some criteria on this because in a real business there must be an objective and this will guide member on what exactly is required of them in order to be the member of the month. But if it is on the discretion of the web master alone there may not be transparency in the way it is and it might be against the ethic of a corporate organization as your policies should be clear to all your members/clients.

Hi Tony,
I will suggest you that after declaring someone as the 'member of the month' you must show all the details about the selection.i mean why someone selected and who were the other members having tough competition with the winner etc.

Every week Indiastudychannel will select one member as 'Member Of The Week'. The winner will get a cash credit of Rs 500.
In most cases, this award will go to new members who joined in past few months and post actively in the forum. Actually This is an encouragement to new members. i was confused with my points bcoz before a week my total points is above350 and now it is 238.
Also in members column my member level is shown as bronze.

The 'Selection of Member of the Month' give enthusiasm to all the members to work on various programs of the ISC to become the Member of the Month. It also encourage them to know all the programs available on the ISC. But there should be some criteria for the selection of the Member of the Month, which is very transparent and easily understandable to all the members of the forum.
