How ISC is helpful for a Graduate Student

ISC-India Study Channel, well most of the people who join here come up with an intention to earn money at the beginning, even I am one among them, who taught in the similar way. In short period of time I came to know that ISC is a place where we can gain abundant information in various fields and earning money in ISC is just a small part when compared to the information that we gain here. The four major sections that are really helpful for a graduate student of any field in ISC are Resources, Bookmarks, Forum Section, and English Section. I can explain you in detail how these sections helped me and my experience with these sections.

Resource Section:

One of the most important sections of ISC, in this section we find people posting articles related to various fields. Educational articles are also posted, which are helpful for many students. Apart from these many members post information related to admissions, regarding entrance exams and other things like syllabus, results etc. All these things are very helpful for a graduate student. The most important thing, for a graduate student, is to be placed in some company. For this there is a particular field in resource section wherein one can post their interview experiences. I think that by reading others resources of their interview experiences, one can be little bit more confident and can know how to overcome the pressure. This was my personal experience.

Bookmark Section:

Bookmark section is the other section where I often visit. ISC is a big family where you can find abundant number of graduates in various fields. So these members try to post some good useful study and job related links. One thing is that a link posted by member is reviewed by the editors, so only links which are really helpful and if the editor thinks that it is informative only such links are approved. So even this section has got some good stuff, which can be helpful for a graduate student.

English Section:

English section is one section which is restricted and only few members can post in this section. In order to gain access to this section we must take special permission from webmaster and before that we need to prove our skills in English by writing some quality resources. Since this section is not eligible for all members, and the members who post here post with some high quality content it is obvious that the content over here is very helpful. We can find various fields in this section like vocabulary, ever day English, idioms etc. If you can spend some time per day and go through these words and sentences, I can assure you that 90% of the things that you’re reading will be new for a person with average English skills. Since ISC doesn’t allow copied content, if person is posting anything related to English, in sample usage he needs to give his own examples. In this way even the person, who is posting, is also benefited. Try to spend some time in ISC English section per day and gain some useful information to develop your communication skills.

Forum Section:

This section has a lot to tell and of all the sections in ISC I like the Forum Section the most. Forum section is a place where many people will be discussing topics related to various fields. Many members will be asking queries regarding ISC and other topics. By clearing their queries one can develop good writing skills. Before entering into this section one should keep in mind that don’t enter forum section for the sake of points or money, post responses in order to develop your writing skills. I can challenge you that a person with an average writing skill can tremendously improve if he repeatedly involves in the forum discussions. I have a personal experience with this section, after repeatedly involving in this section I gained some good writing skills and these skills made me to fetch good score in TOEFL. In fact, I got 28 out of 30 in writing which is very rare to hear in TOEFL. So in this way I can say that this section is very useful for a graduate student.

Apart from these they are many sections in ISC, but I think these four sections are very useful for any graduate student.

To sum up, I would say that earning should be a part of ISC, but don’t think that ISC is only for earning. If you go through various sections of ISC, the money earned here is just a small fraction when compared to the information that we gain.
