How to Earn Online at India Study Channel

Most members do not know how to earn money online at India Study Channel. Their very first post, in fact, will be in the Forum: "How to make money at ISC?".

This article hopes to give guidance on earning at one of the best online work at home sites, India Study Channel.

First and foremost, after you register as a member with India Study Channel, you should read (1) New Members FAQ and (2) check out the current payment programs listed at the Earn Revenuelink.

How to earn money at India Study Channel

1. Post self-written articles in the Resources section: You can write on any topic and put it in the correct category in Articles/Knowledge Sharing or other appropriate category. Make sure that each article is self-written and does not contain copy-pasted content from any site or printed matter.
Cash credits: Re.1/ - to Rs.100/-

2. Post information in the Business Directory: There are many categories in this section – restaurants, hotels, shops, hospitals, etc.
Cash credits: Half or One-third of the points awarded, depending on the post.

3. Post Reviews: You can write reviews about schools, colleges and business posts. Using the main search tool, visit the page of the school or college about which you wish to post a review. Scroll down to the yellow box, where you will find the link to post the review. In the case of a business post, this link is available at the bottom of the page.
Cash credits: Half of the points awarded for the post.

4. Post Exam Papers: You can post exam papers of the last three years. However, exam papers of any regional language are not allowed.
Cash credits: Re.1/- per paper.

5. Answer queries in the Ask Expert section: In this section, members post a wide variety of queries related to education, health, computers, etc. Share your knowledge by responding to these queries.
Cash credits: Re.1/- to Rs.50/-

6. Post Links: The Links section is where you submit links of any blog or site where you have given a link to ISC (thereby promoting ISC & bringing traffic to ISC).
Cash credits: Re.1/- to Rs. 10/-.

7. Post in the English section: Members need to first prove their English skills by posting articles in the Resource section, responding to Forum posts, and contributing to other sections at ISC. Then Webmaster Jose will check out their contributions before giving permission to post in the English section.
Cash credits: Re.1/- to Rs.25/- [maybe more, too, if you post a good informative article].

8. Update Information: You can update information about schools, colleges, training centers, business posts and My India. That is, if you see that the information provided is incomplete or incorrect, click on the update information link given at that page & provide the correct information.
Cash credits: Re.1/- to Rs.10/-. (For My India - if full and correct information is given, one can earn upto Rs. 50/-)

9. Take part in ISC Contests: From time to time, the Webmasters announce contests in the Forum. These could be keyword resource contests, story writing contests, active GDs, etc. A GD is a Group Discussion posted as a Forum thread by the Webmasters. Members can post up to 4 responses in such a contest. Note that the contest group discussion is clearly marked 'GD' and differs from the general group discussion topics posted by other ISC members in the Forum.
Cash credits: For active GD, the award is Rs.200/-; if more than one member gives good responses, the 2 best responders will share Rs.100/- each. Winner of the keyword resource contest gets Rs.200/-. Awards for other contests are announced by the Webmaster at the time of announcing the contest.

10. Win an award: ISC gives 2 main awards – Member of the Week (Rs.250/-) and Member of the Month (Rs.500/-). There is also the Wizard of the Month award (Rs.250/-), wherein a member who posts good quality posts (in terms of quality and not quantity) in the following section gets an award – Forum, Business Directory, English, and Resources. Note, though, that it is not necessary that all these sections will have awardees every month. It is possible that a suitable candidate will not be available for this award.

11. Google AdSense revenue sharing program: This is an excellent program at ISC, wherein you can earn revenue generated by the Google Ads which appear at all your pages where you have posted something. As per this program, the ISC adm. keeps 10% of the revenue, while the member gets 90%. The program is valid for 1 year only for most members, whilst those who have been long-term with ISC can get an extension. Please see this: Revenue Sharing Period For Active Members.

However, to be eligible for this program, it is essential that you adhere to all ISC rules, especially the rule of not copy-pasting information and not spamming. Of course, ISC does not guarantee approval for the program. The approval is given solely by Google Inc. and ISC is not responsible for your eligibility or any other aspect of the program, other than being an avenue to get into the program.

Cash credits: ISC does not give cash credits under this program. Your earnings are solely dependent on your posts and the payment is made by Google Inc. (the $ is converted to your country’s currency once your earnings reach $100) directly to you.

12. Kontera revenue sharing program: This is similar to the Google AdSense program mentioned above. However, the Kontera ads are not directly visible like the Google ads. They are related to keywords used in your posts. When you point at such a word (it has double lines beneath it), a small rectangle will open and display the Kontera Ad.
Cash credits: As in Google AdSense, you get the payment from Kontera.

13. Referral Program: You can earn cash credits by referring others to join ISC. When somebody joins ISC through your referral link, you get paid Re.1/-. Then, as that member progresses to the upper levels of membership, you get cash credits. However, to avail of those cash credits, the member must put in the validation code on joining ISC (the code is sent by ISC to him/her via email)

14. New Payment Programs: Please check the India Study Channel Forum regularly for new payment programs that the Webmasters may announce from time to time. Also, if you have any query regarding a payment program (such as you don't know the guidelines or rules), please post your query in the Forum. You will get a response from other members, Editors or Webmasters.
